Meet Candace

Candace looks at design not as a vocation, but as a passion. When you love what you do, it shows. She also realizes that interior design is one of the most personal professions. And the decision to hire an interior decorator is a personal decision. Your home is your private sanctuary from the rest of the world and Candace knows it can be difficult to have a stranger evaluate your space. That is why Candace doesn't look at interior design as a job, she knows it is about building relationships based on trust and mutual respect.  She never forgets that this is your home, and believes that the best designs result from a collaborative process between client and designer.

Candace genuinely looks forward to meeting each new client and feels truly blessed that she has gotten to know so many wonderful people through her design business. Her goal is to create designs that are as individual as you are, and this comes from taking the time to get to know you and how you live in your home. She feels fortunate every day that she gets to work in a profession she loves while also helping make her clients' dreams for their living spaces come true.

Common Questions and Concerns About Working With an Interior Decorator:

  • Will the decorator impose her design style on the project so that my space looks more like her taste than mine? Candace never forgets that this is your home, not hers. She works with you to help understand your design style, then create a design that is reflective of that style.

  • Will working with a decorator mean that my project will go over budget because the decorator will try to convince me to purchase items I don't want or need? Part of Candace's job is to work with you to create a reasonable budget so that you can get the look and quality you want while remaining within budget. In fact, Candace often finds more inexpensive solutions due to her experience sourcing items as well as the many resources available to her as a decorator. Candace will do the product shopping and price comparisons for you so it is one less thing you need to worry about.

  • What if I love to decorate and have a pretty good idea of what I want, but just need someone to help me pull it all together? Candace offers by-the-hour consultations as well as design packages at several levels so that you can take advantage of her design expertise while still completing the project yourself.

  • I'm worried my project will take much longer because meetings with the decorator will drag things out and I just don't have that kind of time. Actually, working with a decorator can make the process go much smoother and more quickly as Candace will do the leg-work for you - comparison shopping, ordering, handling contractors, etc. She will stay on top of your project so that it moves along on a timely basis and isn't left on the back-burner, never completed because life has gotten in the way!

Think of hiring a decorator this way - You have your hair cut and styled by a professional, why wouldn't you have a professional help create your perfect home environment?
