| From bland and beige to warm and comfortable! These clients wanted to warm up their builder beige walls and break up their stained concrete floors. With a custom design plan, Candace brought all elements of the room together - new custom chaise sectional, comfortable recliner chair, custom leather ottoman, beautiful area rug, custom window treatments, custom pillows, new artwork and accessories now reflect the owners' relaxed and fun personalities!
View into kitchen - a few well-placed accessories in the kitchen bring color and life to that side of the large space. The two rooms are tied together with color and style.
Before - Living Room was bland and boring and did not reflect the homeowners' warm, fun and relaxed personalities or the home's architecture and quality.
Fireplace and Media Wall - To make the fireplace more of the focal point, the wall was painted with a green faux suede treatment to give some texture and dimension. New artwork was selected for its size and colors that complemented the room size and spice tones. To keep the flat panel T.V. from being just a black hole on the wall, a credenza was placed under it and accessorized to soften the harsh lines of the T.V. and bring color to the wall.

Before - Fireplace and Media Wall - This space felt cold and boring. The flat-panel T.V. was lost on this long wall and turned into a black rectangle when off. The T.V. became the focal point instead of the beautiful fireplace.
Custom window treatments - frame the windows and soften the hard rectilinear lines as well as tie the colors of the room together with the spice panels and green stripe toppers.
Who says a large space can't be cozy and comfortable too? All the space needed was color, fabric and texture and now it is warm and inviting!

A new home that was a bland blank slate - is now a colorful, comfortable reflection of the client's personality and lifestyle- and ready for Aggie parties!
Before - this space was begging to reflect the homeowners' warm, fun personalities.
Dining room - needing to work with the striped wallpaper, Candace used tones of blue, red, maroon and even orange, to work with the wallpaper, while adding the mirror and florals to mute it.
The goat in the room - the client asked Candace to work in her family's goat head for a bit of fun and whimsy - can you find him among the client's family photos?
| |
A space to store family memories- this framed collage allows the client to add photos as her family grows and memories are created in her new "Aggie house."
Before- Here is the blank slate wall. The t.v. was also placed too low for comfortable viewing, and the sea of beige carpet blended into the sea of beige walls!

| Small Space, Big Impact -
Powder rooms are a great place to go bolder than you would in the rest of the house. This tiny powder room has a style all its own with a unique wallpaper, lighting and just the right amount of accessories.
Formal Dining Room -
The red damask wallpaper sets a traditional, formal tone along with the grand painting. But the room remains welcoming to guests with slipcovered chairs and the red glow created by the wallpaper, chandelier and sconces.
Relaxing Master Bedroom -The walls of this master bedroom were painted a deep, soothing green to create a relaxing retreat at the end of a busy and stressful day.
Creative Home Office - custom built-in desk and cabinetry, custom window treatments and side chairs, furniture and accessory selection and design.

| Cozy Great Room -
Who says a large open floor plan can't be cozy? With the red paint on one wall, comfy but elegant sofa, custom window treatments to soften the hard lines of the windows, this great room feels open yet intimate.

Frame Your Windows Without Obstructing Your View - These faux-silk panels with contrasting green stripe bands sit between the set of three windows and perfectly compliment the style and colors of the newly-decorated living room without getting in the way of the homeowners' view to their back yard.
Home Office Custom Window Treatments -
Shimmery "eyelash sheers" filter harsh sunlight while allowing plenty of light in for work during the day. Top panels can be pulled closed for privacy at night. |
Great Room Panels and Toppers- Soften harsh lines of windows and frame the view without blocking it. Blinds and shades may be closed at night for privacy. |

Challenging Windows & Wall - 20 ft. ceiling and different sizes and shapes of windows - far apart and on one wall! Woven wood shades block the harsh light and heat reflected from the backyard pool, stationary panels with valances and cascades add color and help bridge the gap between the upper transoms and lower windows, and faux-iron carved panels add interest to the transoms!

Before - The back wall was one giant 20 ft. high wall of different-shaped and sizes of windows with a huge gap in between.
Closer Look at the beautiful faux-iron carved panels in the transoms. Very light-weight and reasonably-priced. The homeowner loved them so much she ordered several more for the rest of the house!

Bringing Color and Texture to a Monochromatic Kitchen - Using the client's window treatments brought from her previous home, they were re-designed, re-worked and embellished with trim to create completely new custom treatments that now fit in her new kitchen! Another faux-iron decorative panel was inserted in both the arch window & the round window - the effect is truly stunning!

Before - The clients agreed the bare set of three rectangular windows did nothing for their living room, but did not want to obstruct their view...
In DreamDraper, Candace was able to show her clients how the simple faux-silk panels would bring color into the space and soften the harsh lines without obstructing their view. She also added contrasting green stripe toppers to bring in the green from the sofa. As a finishing touch, chocolate tassel fringe was added between the two, tying in the brown accents in the rest of the space.
Completed Panels - color, beauty and softness without obstructing the view. Her clients were thrilled!

Custom bedspread & pillows - This client just wanted to freshen up her master bedroom with a new bedspread and pillows. The challenge here was to find just the right fabrics to coordinate with her existing drapery fabrics and wall color. I found a beautiful faux-silk and pink damask along with some pink and blue trims and designed a custom bedspread and pillows. The chaise lounge which had seen better days was also reupholstered in a lush velvet with blue and pink trim to set off its beautiful curves! I also re-arranged the furniture so that the bed and chaise lounge were more of a focal point.
Before - The master bedroom is beautiful but the current bedspread and pillows were dated and worn and the chaise lounge needed some serious TLC. The floral love seat placed at the foot of the bed blocked the view of the bed, which should be the main focal point of the room.
